A Collaboration Between Nine Eastern Japan Breweries, "Yamada Heiando," and Kenzo Takada
The first phase of the project involves nine popular breweries from eastern Japan: Ten no To (Akita), Hiraisen (Akita), Gou no Homare (Ibaraki), Asabiraki (Iwate), Nanbu Bijin (Iwate), Kichiichi (Fukushima), Ichinokura (Miyagi), Urakasumi (Miyagi), and Toko (Yamagata) (listed in order of prefecture and then by Japanese syllabary). Kenzo Takada, an artist and designer active worldwide, has contributed label designs imbued with dreams and hopes for the future.
Furthermore, Yamada Heiando, a lacquerware manufacturer representing Japan and a purveyor to the Imperial Household Agency, has also joined in, with gift sets now available.
Supporting the recovery of sake brewing, a business closely tied to the regional economy, directly contributes to the recovery of the affected areas. We wish for the affected regions of eastern Japan to shine brilliantly as soon as possible, and hope you will enjoy and gift these fine sakes.
The products are available at Tobu Department Store Ikebukuro, Tokyu Department Store Shibuya Main Store, Tokyu Toyoko Store, Tokyu Tama Plaza Store, Matsuzakaya Nagoya Store, Daimaru Department Store Tokyo Store, Umeda Store, Sapporo Store, Hakata Daimaru, and the respective sake breweries' websites. A portion of the sales from these will be donated as relief funds to the prefectures where the sake breweries are located.
