The "Former Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications Himeji Annex" is a historic Western-style building constructed in January 1930 as the Himeji Post Office Telephone Branch, and designated as an important urban landscape building by Himeji City in 2002. It has been operated as a wedding facility since 2009.

This beer garden event, praised as "so atmospheric you can get drunk on the ambiance," draws many visitors each year and is now in its fourth iteration. During the period, the entire premises are open to the public, with the courtyard transformed into the beer garden venue and the indoor lounge space into a beer hall. The building's exterior is illuminated, lending the classical Western-style structure an even more enchanting atmosphere.



This year's theme is "Asian Beer," featuring an all-you-can-eat selection of approximately 15 dishes, centered around eight spicy Asian favorites perfect for summer, from Thailand and Vietnam. Menu items like Thai-style roast chicken, rice noodles, and cilantro dishes pair wonderfully with beer. The homemade bread, baked fresh and delivered from the on-site workshop, is also highly recommended.

Drinks are also all-you-can-drink, offering a diverse range including beer, soft drinks, red and white wines, highballs, and 11 types of cocktails made with liqueurs such as cassis.

The price is a reasonable 3800 yen per adult for all-you-can-eat and free-flow (1.5-hour limit). Children in elementary and junior high school are 2000 yen, and preschoolers are free. Additionally, an optional barbecue grill is available. A platter with 11 items, including beef ribs, sausages, seafood, and vegetables, is offered for 1000 yen. Tours of various parts of the building are also available for those interested.
