Messages for Children, Set to Music

In his personal life, Shusui is a devoted father, fully immersed in childcare, earning him the affectionate title of "ikumen" (a dad actively involved in raising children). He's adept at preparing character bento boxes and octopus-shaped sausages for his kindergarten-aged daughter. It is from this unique perspective that his "Ikion" project was born.

"Ikion" imbues lyrics and melodies with the love and wonder of parenthood that Shusui has experienced firsthand. In an era where active fatherhood is increasingly common, this project also serves as an anthem of support for such "ikumen."

The newly released solo debut album features four previously released singles, plus six new tracks, including "Christmas in the Forest of Tomte." It boasts a luxurious 12-track lineup, complete with a read-aloud track by RUI, who also wrote the story, and a remix of the latest single "TOMATO JUICE" as a bonus track. The package also includes a picture book telling the story of three sisters who bravely face their fears for their beloved father.

With its exquisite pop melodies, the CD is easily accessible for children, and the adventure fantasy picture book, starring the three sisters, offers a perfect way for families to spend quality time together. A Christmas concert, designed for both children and adults to enjoy, will also be held on December 23rd (Tuesday, holiday).

Picture Book Synopsis
In a certain town lived three sisters who often troubled their parents. The day before their father's Christmas concert, a witch stole his precious piano as punishment for the sisters' naughtiness. Just then, a little Tomte appeared, and together with the Tomte, the three sisters ventured into the forest to retrieve the piano from the witch. Will they succeed in getting the piano back?
