All the Same, All Different

NEW WAVES, by Takashi Homma, captures the waves of Hawaii's North Shore, photographed over eight years. It documents fragments of these waves, which shift from fierce to calm, their encounters a true once-in-a-lifetime experience. His perspective, captivated by their serendipity, also enchants our hearts.

Between People and Scenery

Massimo Vitali is known for his style of photographing crowded places like beaches, discos, and ski resorts from a slightly elevated perspective. The leisure scenes in "Landscape with Figures" are strangely serene and somewhat mystical. Within the same location, diverse emotions coexist, and there's the reality of nature becoming commercialized. He continues to calmly press the shutter, pursuing what exists simultaneously within a single landscape.

Life is at the Beach!

Martin Parr, known for his quintessentially British style that is both pop and cynical, serious yet playful, finds a treasure trove of "amusing" subjects at the beach. He says, "Just by going to the beach, you can see the situation of a country. The beach is a rare public space where, transcending culture, one can notice trivial daily life and the national character of that country."
