Nicolai Bergmann: Flowers and Everyday Happiness
Kanki Publishing has released the first book by Danish floral artist Nicolai Bergmann, titled "Nicolai Bergmann: Flowers and Everyday Happiness."
Text by YANAKA Tomomi
From the Birth Story of the "Flower Box" to His Favorite Nordic Interiors
Nicolai Bergmann captivates many with his unique style that fuses a Nordic aesthetic with a Japanese sensibility for detail, drawing out the beauty of flowers. His signature "Flower Box" arrangements, wedding and event displays, and collaborations with world-leading companies showcase a global and diverse talent that continues to enchant.
His operations extend to nine locations worldwide, originating from the "Nicolai Bergmann Flowers & Design Flagship Store" in Minami-Aoyama.
He now presents his first book, proposing a "lifestyle with flowers." The book is divided into four chapters, covering his journey to becoming a floral artist, which was paved by the "perseverance" he learned in Japan; the birth story of the "Flower Box," born from overcoming challenges; and the sources of his inspiration and ideas for creating innovative works.
Furthermore, the book reveals more about Nicolai Bergmann's private life, including the secrets to his communication style, how to enjoy life with flowers, and his favorite Nordic interiors.
"Nicolai Bergmann: Flowers and Everyday Happiness" offers a glimpse into Nicolai's way of life, enriching and enjoying each day with comfort and individuality, through his experiences in Copenhagen and Tokyo across the seasons. We are inspired to adopt the hints for enjoying small joys scattered throughout the book into our own lives.
