An Autobiographical Fashion Diary

Tomoki Yuzan is a popular stylist who works on numerous magazines and advertisements. He began his career as an editor at Popeye magazine and currently directs fashion pages for Casa Brutus, GQ Japan, UOMO, and ENGINE, while also styling advertisements and stage costumes for artists and musicians.

Yuzan, who admits to being a devoted fashion enthusiast with a passion for collecting clothes, has compiled this book, "Tomoki Yuzan's Secret Pleasures," based on his own daily styling photos taken for reference, along with accompanying anecdotes.

The book delves into current fashion trends, as well as stories about the boots he longed to wear at age three, anecdotes from his childhood in Kyoto, and his early days after moving to Tokyo. It also recounts his encounters with people and things that shaped him as a "fashion addict," such as his first visit to a sweltering Paris, talented designers, films, books, magazines, and shops.

To commemorate the book's release, Tsutaya Books in Daikanyama will host a talk show and signing event on July 15 (Mon.) starting at 11:00 AM, featuring Yuzan, the book's designer Ryo Yoshimura, and Toru Hoshino from Brutus magazine. The first 70 people to pre-order or purchase the book will receive a numbered ticket.

"Tomoki Yuzan's Secret Pleasures" offers a glimpse into the "secrets" of one of Japan's leading top stylists. This talk show and signing event, where behind-the-scenes stories from the fashion and publishing worlds are likely to emerge, promises to be an unmissable occasion for fashion lovers.
