Part 2: "Gradual Changes in Scenery" (1)
The books that shape our lives can appear in an instant. We introduce three photobooks and artist books selected by Atsushi Hamanaka of twelvebooks, a book hunter who travels the world in search of such special finds. Beautiful to behold, to touch, to display. Welcome to the world of tactile reading.
This month's theme is "fixed-point observation" – capturing the same subject at different times or from different angles. We present three books from photographers captivated by the subtle shifts in things over time.

Layered Trees
Foam, a highly influential photography magazine from the Netherlands, featured this debut collection by Kim Boske, a promising young Dutch artist. With "the passage of time" as its concept, this work layers images of the same tree captured from various angles and at different times. The complete form of the tree, which is normally invisible to the naked eye, is condensed into a single image.
