This is a publishing project by the popular select shop Urban Research, undertaken under the name "URBAN RESEARCH" for about three years, releasing one book every six months with the theme of "examining the city." The seventh installment, "URBAN RESEARCH : CALIFORNIA," has now been published.

A Book Where Both Photos and Text Feel Exquisite
The first four Urban Research Concept Books were produced based in Zurich, Switzerland. The fifth explored New York, and the sixth, London. Now, the much-anticipated seventh installment, "URBAN RESEARCH : CALIFORNIA," turns its gaze to the U.S. West Coast.
In "URBAN RESEARCH : CALIFORNIA," the keyword is "community" – fostering local revitalization with a spirit of self-building. The book examines California, focusing on Los Angeles and San Francisco.
Inside, you'll find a world of simple, beautiful living: a coffee roaster curated by a World Barista Champion who treats carefully selected beans like vintage wine; a grocery community nurturing local, fresh ingredients; potters and their friends gathering in an idyllic village to create ceramics; and the community surrounding Mollusk, who cherish surf, art, and family. It's a collection that embodies a beautiful, simple way of life.
