A Major Exhibition by Roni Horn, a Leading Figure in Contemporary Art

At the Pola Museum of Art, "Roni Horn: When I See You, Do You See Water?", the first solo exhibition in a Japanese museum by American contemporary artist Roni Horn, is currently on display. This is the first major exhibition to focus on a single contemporary artist since the Pola Museum of Art opened in 2002.

A Compelling Collection of Works Tracing the Artist's Diverse Career of Approximately 40 Years

Roni Horn's solo exhibition, "Roni Horn: When I See You, Do You See Water?", is being held at the Pola Museum of Art.
This exhibition highlights Roni Horn's consistent thematic concern with "continuity and difference" through a variety of works, including early pieces, her representative photographic series "You Are Weather Part 2" (2010-2011), and drawing works that gradually change through the repetition of motifs.

Also on display are large-scale two-dimensional works approximately 3 meters in height and nine glass sculptures, among her recent representative works. The exhibition dynamically traces the artist's trajectory over approximately 40 years, from her early works to her most recent creations.
Hakone, an ancient hot spring region where the Pola Museum of Art is located, shares many similarities with Iceland, a place that has deeply inspired Roni Horn. In addition to the exhibition rooms overlooking the lush forest of Sendainohara, works are also displayed along the forest walking path outside the museum. Given that Roni Horn has consistently used "nature" as a motif in her work since her early career, experiencing her art amidst nature is a rare and valuable opportunity.
Exhibition-exclusive original merchandise, produced by BEAMS DESIGN, is also available for purchase. Original T-shirts, tote bags, and mugs, inspired by Roni Horn's art and worldview, can be bought at the Pola Museum of Art's shop and official online store.
After immersing yourself in Roni Horn's world at the solo exhibition, be sure to acquire these limited-edition goods, available only for this occasion.
