An Overwhelmingly Dreamlike, Fleeting Moment
Marianne Guély, the designer and director who created the papercraft for "Beauty and Flower Play. 2015," an event hosted by SHISEIDO THE GINZA, graduated from ENSAAMMA in 1989. She is a notable female artist who won the Talent de l’Originalité award in 2004 and has been commissioned by many fashion houses.
Regarding this work, she commented, "To be able to create a Sakura display for Shiseido is an unparalleled and joyous opportunity for me. Cherishing the cherry blossoms is a fleeting moment. We have captured the beauty of that moment in this display."
The delicate and beautiful papercraft cherry blossoms created by her for this exhibition number in the tens of thousands. We want to savor this "Sakura" display, which appeals to the senses, before the real cherry blossoms bloom.
Additionally, from Thursday, March 19th to Tuesday, May 19th, a different papercraft display by her will be featured on the first-floor stage at SHISEIDO THE GINZA. Both are not to be missed.
