ART | An Art Project Capturing the World of the Lexus NX
“Tokyo Shampoo Party by Leslie Kee” Begins
The new Lexus compact crossover SUV, the NX. Alongside Toyota’s signature hybrid engine, it’s also drawing attention for being the first Lexus to feature a turbo engine. To coincide with the domestic launch of the NX, an art project photographed by Leslie Kee has commenced.

Public Photo Shoot Event by Leslie Kee Also Held
To mark the Japanese launch of the Lexus NX, the art project “Tokyo Shampoo Party by Leslie Kee,” photographed by Leslie Kee, was unveiled on a special website on September 5, 2014.
Leslie Kee is a photographer born in Singapore. He has photographed numerous global celebrities and famous models, and is active worldwide, primarily in Japan and New York, not only for magazines, advertisements, and CD covers, but also as a music video director.
For this project, models dressed in stylish attire were photographed covered in foam. The concept of the Lexus NX, centered around the keyword “Play in the City,” is conveyed through images of men and women joyfully playing as if at a party within the foam, capturing their dynamic presence. The video below is a making-of movie.
Furthermore, a public photo shoot event will be held at Roppongi Hills Arena in Tokyo on September 18th (Thursday) from 2 PM. This is a rare opportunity to witness firsthand the precious moments of Leslie Kee’s unique photographic process.
