Art Direction by Acclaimed Creator Chie Morimoto

Since the debut of the "KEITA MARUYAMA" brand, Maruyama has been active not only in fashion, designing costumes for musicians, actors, stage, and film, but also as a creative director. To commemorate his 20th anniversary, an exhibition titled "Keita Maruyama Scenery" will be held.

The venue will showcase Maruyama's unique, fantastical world, born from two decades of creation, characterized by bold, painterly prints, delicate handwork, and a deep appreciation for Japan's seasonal beauty. In addition to a display of collections from the launch of "KEITA MARUYAMA" in 1994 to the present, approximately 200 items will be presented, including costumes created for prominent artists such as DREAMS COME TRUE.

In conjunction with the exhibition, a limited edition commemorative book, "KEITA MARUYAMA 'Keita Maruyama Scenery'," will be available for pre-order, with only 1,500 copies produced. Furthermore, a photo collection titled "SUPER KEITA MARUYAMA," featuring 25 actresses, actors, artists, and models such as Ayumi Tanabe, Miwako Ichikawa, Yusuke Iseya, and RIHITO, adorned in costumes designed by Keita Maruyama, photographed by Leslie Kee, will also be released in a limited run of 1,000 copies.

Events such as talk shows will also be held during the exhibition period. On Saturday, August 9th, Keita Maruyama will appear alongside photographer Leslie Kee and model Ayumi Tanabe. On Saturday, August 16th, a dialogue between Keita Maruyama and Chie Morimoto is scheduled.

Chie Morimoto, one of Japan's most acclaimed creators, who says, "Wearing Keita's clothes feels like wearing scenery or seasons," has collaborated with Keita Maruyama to create "Keita Maruyama Scenery." This exhibition offers a chance to experience the trajectory of his 20 years and his creations amidst a celebratory atmosphere befitting an anniversary.
