Sho Watanabe (Watanabe Sho) is an artist known for his pen drawings created with just a single pen, expressing a unique worldview based on black and white, as well as high-art works including silk screens and oil paintings. He also has a reputation for creative activities in a wide range of fields such as advertising, product design, spatial production, web design, and writing. The fusion of digital and analog is his signature.
For this exhibition, based on "Onko Chishin -Giving new life to things from the past-", which is consistently depicted in his works, he has created new pieces using vintage comics and magazines. His works, which pursue depth and three-dimensionality within a flat surface created from materials of a bygone era, and the unique worldview that mixes the surf and skate culture of the American West Coast, characteristic of "Spit Lip ACME Furniture," are a must-see.
Additionally, 30 limited edition tote bags will be released, featuring 18 new works drawn by artist Sho Watanabe specifically for this occasion, with a slightly humorous tiger motif.
