A New Chapter in LVMH Group's Support for Arts and Culture
The "Louis Vuitton Foundation" is a foundation established for art and artists. Its mission is to encourage and promote contemporary art in France and abroad, carrying on the tradition of artistic and creative activities of the 20th and 21st centuries.
The building, designed by American architect Frank Gehry, is characterized by its design reminiscent of a cloud, with transparent glass panels randomly layered. Inside, there are exhibition galleries for permanent and special exhibitions, as well as commissioned works by artists, and a multi-purpose hall for performances and events across multiple genres. The building's terrace offers panoramic views of the Paris cityscape and the lush greenery of the Jardin d'Acclimatation.
As part of the opening program, an exhibition will be held to introduce the architectural project designed by Frank Gehry for the foundation. In conjunction with this, the first European retrospective of Frank Gehry's work will be held at the Centre Pompidou starting in October.
