Text by KAJII Makoto (OPENERS)
Opening Performance on June 24th (Tue) at 7:30 PM
TAKAYA, a floral artist whose performances, such as 'Kaikka' where individuals adorned with flowers and garments bloom into blossoms, have garnered international attention, will exhibit photographs of men. This exhibition features his male-focused works, created alongside his female-oriented pieces, as well as new works produced for this occasion.
TAKAYA states, "This exhibition is born from my hands, so it has no concept or title. 'Some people say that his hands are automatic'"—There is no need to think. Just feel."

Floral Artist TAKAYA
Began his career as a "floral artist" based in Kyoto in 2004. Gained attention for his original headdresses made from fresh flowers. He expands his activities by holding the performance "Kaikka," where individuals adorned with flowers and garments bloom into blossoms, both domestically and internationally.
In 2010, he created floral arrangements for the YUMI KATSURA GRAND COLLECTION and has continued to be involved in their collections. He has attracted attention from overseas media, including the UK's leading newspaper, The Daily Telegraph, and prominent Dutch magazines and newspapers. Alongside creating works in collaboration with companies and brands, his personal creations express the inspiration he receives from people and flowers, often involving improvisational floral artistry. He also maintains a strong following in the wedding industry. He has received numerous television offers and recently provided floral artistry for Tsuyoshi Domoto's album 'Shamanippon-Roy no Chi no I.'
