Autograph Sessions and Exclusive Menu Cards to Be Distributed
Founded in 2011, KINFOLK has garnered a global following with its beautiful depictions of food, daily life, and gatherings with loved ones. Based in Portland, Oregon—a city increasingly recognized as a hub for sustainable living—the magazine offers a relaxed approach to time through its tasteful visuals and thoughtful text.
Curated by Miho Kinomura, a creative director also active as a film director, this exhibition by Carissa Gallo and Laura Dart, both long-time contributors, marks KINFOLK's first-ever photo exhibition. The gallery space will feature their distinctive photographs, which are both artistic and soothing.
In addition to the artwork, related books will be on sale during the exhibition period. On Saturday, May 31st, an autograph session will be held with Katie Searle-Williams, one of the founding members, and photographer Laura Dart. Furthermore, visitors will receive exclusive original menu cards, produced specifically for this exhibition and available only here, on a first-come, first-served basis. The café "Glorious Chain Café" on the first floor of DIESEL Shibuya will also offer a limited menu inspired by the world of KINFOLK, making this an event not to be missed.
The beautiful photography at the heart of KINFOLK, which has conveyed a worldview centered on art, design, cuisine, family, and tradition, invites us to gather around a table—much like the exhibition's title, "The Shared Table"—with the photographers, stylists, chefs, and others involved with the magazine, to share in a comfortable and leisurely time.
