The duo exhibition “DOUBLE EXPOSURE” takes its name from the photography term “double exposure.”
In a typical fashion shoot, a hair and makeup artist applies makeup to a model (3D), and then a photographer captures it in an image (2D) to complete a visual. However, the works in this exhibition reverse that production process.
Keiichi Nitta first captures the "raw beauty" of the model without makeup using his camera, and then Noboru Tomizawa applies his unique flat-surface hair and makeup techniques (3D) over the printed image (2D), a groundbreaking approach.
Workshop to be Held on May 4th During the Exhibition

Additionally, a workshop will be held on Sunday, May 4th, during the exhibition period to commemorate the “DOUBLE EXPOSURE” duo exhibition.
At the workshop venue, Noboru Tomizawa will act as an advisor, assisting in the creation of works where participants apply hair and makeup to photographs live-shot by Keiichi Nitta. For more details, please visit the website below (http://www.marunouchi-house.com).
