AAF (Art and Architect Festa NPO) aims to foster societal development through architecture and art via various exhibitions and workshops. To commemorate its third anniversary, a talk event has been organized in collaboration with "D&DEPARTMENT." Art director Kenjiro Sano will be the guest for this event, held on Saturday, March 8th, at D&DEPARTMENT OSAKA in Minami-Horie, Osaka City.

Distinctive artwork that is clear and captivating
In this talk event, designer Kenmei Nagaoka will engage in a dialogue with the guest, while architect Takahiro Hiranuma will serve as moderator. The project aims to explore current sentiments within their respective fields and to view design from a cross-disciplinary perspective.

The second installment in the designer series features art director Kenjiro Sano as the guest. He has been involved in art direction for advertisements and TV commercials both domestically and internationally, in addition to product development, symbol marks, and character design. His artwork is characterized by a warm and humorous touch. Notable works include the character "Nyanko" for Nikko Edomura, "Booboo" for TBS, the TV commercial for Suntory's "Green Dakara-chan," and Toyota Motor's "ReBORN." He is currently one of the most sought-after creators.

Kenjiro Sano
Born in Tokyo in 1972. Graduated from Tama Art University with a degree in Graphic Design. After working at Hakuhodo, he established MR_DESIGN. His major works include Suntory's "Minami Alps Natural Water," "Green Dakara," and "BOSS"; Toyota Motor's "ReBORN"; Mizkan's "Torottoto"; TBS's "Booboo"; the picture book "Fusen Inu Tinny"; Nikko Edomura's "Nyanko"; and au's "LISMO!". His original product "nico" has been exhibited worldwide at institutions such as MoMA, Colette (Paris), Design Museum (London), Mori Art Museum, and Hara Museum. He is a professor in the Integrated Design Department at Tama Art University.
