Linear silhouettes and warm materials harmonize with the space
Tomoo Nishidate is an artist who works across various fields, including music, graphics, and spatial design.
After studying economics at university, he worked for a music production company, engaging in composition and sound effects. After leaving the company, he began creating collage diaries from trash collected on the streets during a trip to the UK. Since then, he has been creating collage and three-dimensional works using offcuts from factories and workshops, as well as discarded paper scraps and wood.

His works, characterized by a dialogue with materials, focus on the traces left behind. The pieces are constructed to highlight the comfortable rhythm of linear parts and the organic lines of the natural materials. A collection of works showcasing these features is on display.

While seemingly inorganic at first glance, the neutral color tones and the texture of the wood exude a distinct presence. The warmth and sophistication born from free sensibility. Nishidate's works harmonize with the space.
