Purchasing Art Connects to Children's Smiles

The charity art exhibition "ROSES.," held since 2008, brings together artists active in various fields who voluntarily gather to create, exhibit, and sell works themed around roses. All proceeds are donated in full to reliable support organizations to aid children's futures.

This year's "ROSES. Charity Art Exhibition 2013" slogan is "CONNECTING." The symbol color is "Blue," the color of the sky that envelops the Earth and connects to the world. Under the theme "Connecting the World and Japan Through Products," artworks by creators, designers, celebrities, and other artists, all inspired by roses, will be exhibited and sold. Additionally, a collaborative booth will feature and sell products from NPO organizations that support developing countries, aiming to foster children's education and support mothers' employment.

During the exhibition period, special "ROSES." charms created by mothers residing in Payatas, a poverty-stricken area in the Philippines, will also be available for purchase. By commissioning these mothers to create the charms, these fair-trade products contribute to income stability and self-reliance.

Furthermore, a charity silent auction featuring items ranging from luxurious goods to "premium goods" and "personal belongings" from celebrities is planned, along with various events such as live performances and talk shows by artists and cultural figures who support "ROSES."

Proceeds raised from this exhibition are planned to be donated to the NPO "CARE-WAVE," which engages in the emotional education of children and adolescents through the non-fiction musical "CARE-WAVE AID" that conveys the plight of the world, and to the international NGO "Room to Read," founded on the philosophy that "children's education changes the world."

Through the purchase of art pieces that enrich the spirit and life, become a bridge connecting to children's futures. Despite being a charity event, the works presented by the artists are all of high quality, and we highly recommend a visit.
