While active at the forefront of fashion design, Hiroko Koshino also engages in the creation of ink wash paintings and other artworks. Koshino is also very active as an artist, and opened her gallery, "KH Gallery Ginza," a year ago. Furthermore, in May of this year, she transformed her residence, an early work by Tadao Ando, into "KH Gallery Ashiya."

Koshino visits Paris every few months, and one day she met Aki Kuroda (real name: Akihiko Kuroda). Koshino had heard his name before, but upon visiting Kuroda's studio, she was astonished by the breadth and depth of his work, as well as his diverse circle of acquaintances.

Kuroda's studio is located in the Montparnasse district, once a gathering place for the artists of the École de Paris. The cafe he frequents between work is the origin of his creativity, and it is no exaggeration to say that the concept of "Cosmic Garden," which he has been developing for many years, was born from this cafe.

Within the vast universe, humans, mere small beings, meet, think, act, and create a symbiotic garden together. The place where people meet is very important, and that is what I consider the "Cosmic Garden."

For Hiroko Koshino, who has experienced countless encounters and opened up new worlds each time, Kuroda's way of thinking resonated deeply. The two quickly hit it off and decided to hold an exhibition together.

What kind of "Cosmic Garden" will artist Aki Kuroda create with his uniquely talented partner, Hiroko Koshino? We want to witness the brilliant spark born from their encounter.
