The Roppongi Art Night Executive Committee has announced that "Roppongi Art Night 2023," an artistic feast set against the backdrop of Roppongi's cityscape, will be held over two days from Saturday, May 27 to Sunday, May 28, 2023.

Since its inception in 2009, Roppongi Art Night has become a celebrated art festival in Tokyo, aiming to pioneer new models for urban development in a major metropolis. This year marks its 12th iteration.

This year, Takashi Kuribayashi + Cinema Caravan and Tomoko Konoike, both acclaimed contemporary artists active internationally, will serve as main artists. Under the theme "An Encyclopedia of Urban Creatures," the event will explore the interconnectedness of life in the city from the perspective of nature's grand cycles and rhythms, fostering an awareness of diverse connections we might otherwise overlook. Works will unfold across Roppongi, featuring these main artists alongside emerging talents. The program will encompass contemporary art, design, film, performance, and online content.

During Roppongi Art Night 2023, collaborations with cultural institutions, large commercial complexes, and shopping streets will include special exhibition programs and extended opening hours. Roppongi, a district where international art converges with gourmet dining, shopping, and cinema, promises an experience filled with surprise, inspiration, and encounters, all illuminated by art.
