Unprecedented Collaborations Between Today's Photographers and Artists from Various Fields

Launched in 1994 in Montreal, Canada, as a free magazine, "VICE Magazine" captured the curiosity of young trendsetters with its unsparingly sharp wit and unique perspective.

Twenty years later, "VICE Magazine" has evolved into a global media entity, experienced in 35 countries worldwide. This includes not only the "VICE Magazine" itself, now distributed in approximately 1.1 million copies across 25 countries, but also its online platform, music channel, global art projects, and technology channel, showcasing a diverse range of content across genres.

And now, the "Photo Issue," an annual special from "VICE Magazine" that disappears from streets within days of distribution, will be published in Japan.





This year's theme is "Artist Collaboration." The exhibition features participation from globally renowned artists such as Kim Gordon, Roger Ballen, and Richard Kern, alongside emerging talents like Sandy Kim and Asger Carlsen. From Japan, artists including Masaru Tatsuki, Jin Ohashi, KYOTARO, and Keiichi Nitta are also represented. The world's most relevant photographers and artists from various fields present unprecedented collaborations.

The exhibition at the DIESEL ART GALLERY, held to celebrate the Japanese release, will showcase the original collaborative works contributed to the "Photo Issue" by a total of 28 participating artists. Additionally, a video documenting how these creative sparks were ignited will be screened.

This "most stimulating photo collection" arriving in Japan is sure to present us with a form of photography unlike anything seen before.
