Exhibition 'Overgrowth' Held at ROCKET
Floral artist Riley Messina and photographer Parker Fitzgerald, both based in Portland, Oregon, are presenting their new collaborative project, an exhibition titled 'Overgrowth.' It will be held at ROCKET in Jingumae from Friday, September 27th to Tuesday, October 1st.

Botanical Design Meets Delicate Film Imagery
Floral artist Riley Messina is known for his powerful works that pursue simple beauty. Photographer Parker Fitzgerald has published his work in magazines worldwide.
The two have collaborated numerous times for 'KINFOLK,' a lifestyle magazine founded in Portland in 2011, celebrated for its tasteful visuals, text, and design, captivating audiences. Their new collaborative project, 'Overgrowth,' is coming to Japan.
The exhibition will feature floral arrangements by Messina and photographic works by Fitzgerald. Traditional botanical designs, pursuing Messina's unique aesthetic, are fused with Fitzgerald's delicate film imagery. Visitors can appreciate works that express the connection between humans and nature, juxtaposing portraiture with grand natural landscapes.
All exhibited works will be available for purchase, and a photobook themed around 'Overgrowth' is also planned for release. An opening party will be held on the first day, the 27th (Friday), starting at 6:00 PM.
This exhibition offers a chance to feel their Portland-rooted lifestyle through their art. The beautiful world of 'Overgrowth,' meaning 'to grow luxuriantly,' will unfold.
Riley Messina
A floral artist based in Portland, Oregon, working globally. He creates simple yet powerful works by focusing on the essential elements to pursue beauty. After starting his career in Chicago over 10 years ago, he now has clients across the US and internationally, with his work featured in numerous publications including 'KINFOLK'.

Parker Fitzgerald
A photographer based in Portland, Oregon. He carefully captures his subjects through the lens, preferring film cameras over digital to achieve purity and authenticity in his work. With a background in graphic design and illustration, he has been working as a photographer for five years. His work has been published in 'KINFOLK,' 'BRUTUS,' 'CASA BRUTUS,' 'NYLON,' 'madameFIGARO,' 'MilK,' 'Coyote,' and others.
