Featuring 19 works, from analog techniques to digital creations incorporating the latest technology

Contemporary art, with its diverse forms of expression, offers infinite possibilities that expand daily. Yet, it is often perceived as "difficult" or "incomprehensible." 'The Magic Museum' aims to change this perception by using light and cutting-edge technology to create an experience where visitors can "see, touch, and participate."

This exhibition has toured 22 venues across Japan, attracting approximately 600,000 visitors to date. Now, it makes its highly anticipated Tokyo debut, bringing together 11 prominent Japanese artists renowned for their work in various domestic and international exhibitions. They have created 19 pieces inspired by light, ranging from analog methods to digital works employing the latest technology.







Among the exhibits is "happy halloween!" by Daito Manabe and Satoru Higa, where a computer processes your face captured by a camera in real-time, applying virtual makeup like those worn by Peking opera performers or cats. Another piece, "Soradama" by Sachiko Kodama, features glowing balls that, when used to break virtual cubes, scatter like shooting stars. These and other diverse works convey the fascination of contemporary art.

'The Magic Museum' transforms contemporary art, often perceived as "difficult," into a special space where children can appreciate it and adults can rediscover their childlike wonder.
