Shingo Katori's solo exhibition, "Suntory All-Free Presents BOUM! BOUM! BOUM! Shingo Katori's First Solo Exhibition in Japan," is currently underway at IHI Stage Around Tokyo. This unique exhibition offers an immersive art experience within a venue where the audience seating rotates. The exhibition runs until Sunday, June 16, 2019.

An Immersive Art Exhibition Like No Other
Shingo Katori's first solo exhibition in Japan, "Suntory All-Free Presents BOUM! BOUM! BOUM! Shingo Katori's First Solo Exhibition in Japan," is now open.
"BOUM!" is a French onomatopoeia expressing the sound of a heartbeat, like a "thump-thump." In addition to a triumphant display of over 100 paintings, first unveiled at the "NAKAMA des ARTS" exhibition in Paris's Carrousel du Louvre in September 2018, the show features new installation works.
The highlight is the installation art, which leverages the unique 360-degree rotating seating of the venue, IHI Stage Around Tokyo, to create an immersive and experiential artwork. It's an art exhibition in a theatrical space unlike any other.
Regarding the exhibition, Katori commented, "I'd always wanted to have a solo exhibition someday. Having my first solo exhibition in Paris far exceeded my imagination. I was eager to have my first solo exhibition in Japan. I never imagined my first solo exhibition in Japan would be held in a 360-degree rotating theater. It continues to exceed my imagination."
