Stray Cats Photographed by the Enigmatic Photographer Yoshio Nekamori

A photography exhibition titled "Jingumae Alley Cats -Polaroid Installation-", featuring stray cats photographed by Yoshio Nekamori, is currently being held at TRUNK HOTEL. The heartwarming exhibition captures the diverse expressions of cats living in backstreets. The exhibition runs until Wednesday, February 27, 2019.

Yoshio Nekamori, an enigmatic photographer, has exclusively used Polaroid cameras to capture street cats encountered during his travels not only in Japan but also around the world, as well as the lives of Japanese hip-hop artist Hannya.

The exhibition "Jingumae Alley Cats -Polaroid Installation-" showcases selected works from the thousands of street cat photographs he has taken to date.

Driven by a desire to capture the fleeting expressions of cats, which one might only encounter once, he has continued to photograph them. The exhibition offers a dreamlike and heartwarming experience, blending the cats' approachable nature and their unique distance from humans, with the distinctive atmosphere of Polaroids.

Additionally, a DJ event will be held on Tuesday, February 26, 2019, featuring Shinichi Osawa, a DJ and producer known for his love of cats.
