A Space Where Only Furniture and Visitors Emerge
Since establishing his firm "SHINATTO" in 2004, architect Riki Ohno has undertaken a diverse range of projects, from residential and commercial spaces to advertising and art. He has garnered significant international attention, including a gold award at the 2010 JCD Design Award. His unique installation is now exhibited at DIESEL SHIBUYA.
Within a very small space formed entirely by outlines, items from the DIESEL home collection are arranged, creating a scenario where the furniture appears to float. The spatial units, more akin to an extension of furniture than a room, are arranged in a continuous sequence. The overlapping outlines create a visually complex and unique composition. Visitors can view the displayed furniture from outside the outlines or walk through them.
The items exhibited together this time are from "Successful Living from DIESEL," the home collection line that proposes DIESEL's signature rock-and-roll lifestyle. The furniture is a collaboration with Moroso, the lighting with Foscarini, and the textiles with Zucchetti – leading Italian interior manufacturers renowned for their design and quality.
This space, created with the unique perspective of Riki Ohno, a recipient of numerous awards, is a must-see. It is on display until Sunday, February 16th of next year, so be sure to visit.
