Highlights Include Yayoi Kusama's Sculptures and Kohei Nawa's New Works
'G-tokyo 2013' is renowned for its unique format, exclusively featuring top galleries that lead Japan's art scene and presenting high-quality works through curated exhibitions. Now in its fourth year, the fair will once again bring together new pieces created especially for the event alongside works by renowned artists.

The venue will feature large-scale sculptures by Yayoi Kusama, whose recent collaboration with Louis Vuitton is still fresh in memory, as well as new works by Kohei Nawa, who continues to explore the possibilities of expression through the innovative use of new materials. Take Ninagawa, exhibiting for the first time this year, will present works by Vietnamese-born artist Danh Vo, a recipient of last year's Hugo Boss Prize from the Guggenheim Museum in New York, including pieces crafted from cardboard covered in gold leaf. The fair promises a wealth of highlights.
The exhibition space itself has been designed by the emerging architectural unit Mount Fuji Architects Studio. This unconventional layout, departing from traditional booth structures, offers a more intimate encounter with the artworks and facilitates engaging conversations with active gallerists and artists. Additionally, jewelry from the esteemed French high jeweler Boucheron will also be on display.
The 'Roppongi Art Night,' a one-night art festival, will be held concurrently during the fair. In conjunction with this event, 'G-tokyo 2013' will extend its opening hours until midnight. This is a city-wide celebration of art. Why not begin your spring evening's artistic exploration with 'G-tokyo 2013'?
