A Leica M-Series Devotee, Shooting in Monochrome

After assisting photographer Tadahiko Hayashi, Tomio Seike moved to the UK in 1974. With his beloved Leica M-Series in hand, he has since captured monochrome landscapes. His serene and atmospheric photographs have garnered high acclaim both in Japan and internationally.

'Light in Monochrome' features 14 previously unreleased works shot in Brighton, a tourist city on the southwest coast of England and Seike's base of operations in the UK, using a Leica M Monochrom. These new pieces are being exhibited for the first time.

Experience the interplay of Brighton, England's premier beach resort, and Seike's unique sensibility, rendered through his photographs. We invite you to appreciate these works, which harness the contrast of light and shadow inherent in monochrome, alongside the allure of Leica.
