Structures Featuring Deviations and Anomalies Unexplained by Scientific Common Sense or Principles

American contemporary artist Daniel Arsham was born in Ohio in 1980 and is currently based primarily in New York. Arsham's ongoing exploration, which involves constantly seeking new materials and experimenting to create the unreal, is rooted in his interest in architecture and geology, fostered through his work with the architectural project unit and creative team 'Snarkitecture'.

His artistic practice spans a wide range, including sculptures, paintings, installations, and performances, all based on the concept of 'Fictional Archeology.' His works have been exhibited at museums and international exhibitions worldwide, including MoMA PS1, the New Museum of Contemporary Art in New York, and the Athens Biennale. In 2017, his solo exhibition 'Moving Architecture' at the Moscow Biennale featured a monumental sculptural installation that garnered significant attention.

The 'Architecture Anomalies' exhibition showcases Arsham's new works themed around 'structures featuring deviations and anomalies unexplained by scientific common sense or principles.' The exhibition primarily consists of installations such as eroded walls, fabric that appears to have merged with the walls, and fabric that merely suggests a physical presence. These works reflect Arsham's interest in and exploration of the relationship between space and art, as well as between visual perception and physical sensation.
