The Peaceful World Captured by Photographer Miho Kakuta
Beginning with a poem by Finland's leading poet, Kai Nieminen, and a quiet morning scene, Kakuta's "beautiful things"—found in deep forests, quiet corners of lakes, sunlight filtering through trees in gardens and by windows, wildflowers in meadows, and twilight by the water's edge—invite us to the endless charm of Finland. The dreamlike scenes are filled with beautiful light, possessing a mysterious power to illuminate and heal the viewer's heart.
I was deeply moved to realize that the world we live in each day holds such gentle, peaceful light.
