Inspiration from the Natural Wonders of California
Ruth Charlotte Kness Presents "THE WHITE SHOW"
In 2014, she held her first exhibition in Japan, instantly etching her name into the memories of many with her mobiles, her life's work. Now, approximately three years later, her exhibition returns to CURATOR’S CUBE in Nishi-Shimbashi, opening on November 4th.

Impactful Mobiles Return After Three Years; Flat Works Also Shine
Born and raised in Northern California to a shipwright father and an artist mother, Ruth Charlotte Kness began her career as an artist after studying jewelry making in New York. "My work is born from living and learning amidst the grand nature of Northern California's valleys and beaches. The radiance I see and feel in nature guides me to sculpture," she says. Her signature creations, which she has been crafting for the past decade, are mobiles made from driftwood.
When first unveiled in Japan in 2014, many were captivated by the sheer beauty of her creations, whether in motion or at rest. The larger-scale mobiles, in particular, which seemed to envelop the entire space, likely left a profound impression on many.
"THE WHITE SHOW," opening November 4th, will feature both mobiles and flat works. Ruth Charlotte Kness will also be visiting Japan for this exhibition, with a reception party held on the first day from 6 PM. Admission is free. We encourage you to visit.
