『DIGIT』 by Masamasa Tsutsumi, Based in Beijing
An installation titled "DIGIT" by architect Masamasa Tsutsumi, who is active based in Beijing, is being held at DIESEL SHIBUYA in Shibuya until Sunday, February 17, 2013. This store installation, born from Tsutsumi's unprecedentedly free-thinking approach, is a must-see.

DIESEL Home Collection Embedded in a Variable Wall
The Diesel Art Gallery is located within DIESEL SHIBUYA. Inviting artists from various genres worldwide, it hosts four art exhibitions annually. The home collection area showcases installations by architects and spatial designers.
Masamasa Tsutsumi, who is exhibiting this time, graduated from the Department of Architecture at the University of Tokyo's Faculty of Engineering before joining SAKO Architects and Associates in Beijing. He then established Masamasa Tsutsumi Architects in Beijing in 2009 and continues to be based there. He is one of the young architects drawing international attention, known for his diverse activities in addition to his work on projects ranging from large-scale buildings to retail spaces.

His theme for this exhibition is "DIGIT," a coined word combining "Digital" and "Dig it." The venue features a variable wall composed of small squares, into which various DIESEL home collection items are embedded, including furniture and lighting created in collaboration with top Italian brands like Moroso and Foscarini.
This installation expands the possibilities of the exhibition with each visitor and each hand that touches the wall. We encourage you to step into this wondrous space and enjoy the collaboration between DIESEL and Tsutsumi.
