Asia's Largest International Photo Fair Opens
From Friday, September 28th to Monday, October 1st, "TOKYO PHOTO 2012" will be held for four days at Tokyo Midtown Hall. Unlike simply "viewing" art, the true appeal of this exhibition, held as a trade fair, lies in the "purchase of artworks" and the "interaction with collectors, gallerists, and artists" from around the world.

That Artwork in Japan? And Available for Purchase!
Launched in 2009 as an international photography fair, "TOKYO PHOTO" is now in its fourth year and has been expanding its scale with each iteration.
The biggest draw of this exhibition is undoubtedly the ability to purchase the displayed works. By functioning as a marketplace, it has made it possible to gather works that would otherwise be unavailable in Japan. Furthermore, visitors can directly interact with world-renowned artists. For photography lovers, could there be a more magnificent celebration?
Over 30 internationally acclaimed galleries from Tokyo, Beijing, Shanghai, New York, Los Angeles, London, Paris, Berlin, and Amsterdam are participating. Moreover, "TOKYO PHOTO" has become part of a new urban brand revitalization project by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, called "CREATIVE TOKYO." This project aims to foster and develop Tokyo's creative industries, establishing the Japanese capital as Asia's creative hub.
In the talk sessions, experienced photography experts such as museum curators and former photo editors from prestigious magazines will visit Japan to discuss photography from their unique perspectives. On the final day, the audience can also participate in a session with the Tokyo Photo Committee. We encourage you to share your passion for photography.
"TOKYO PHOTO" has consistently delivered world-class content, works, and programs with an international flair to bring the trends of the global art scene to Tokyo. It is incredibly meaningful and fortunate to have such an experience domestically. It promises to be an stimulating and challenging four days. We eagerly await its opening.
