A Glass Table Radiating Brilliance Like a Fountain

Opened in March 2017, the Milan flagship store for fashion brand ISSEY MIYAKE. Tokujin Yoshioka was responsible for its spatial design. The relationship between the two is deep, with Yoshioka having exhibited an installation at the "MIYAKE ISSEY Exhibition: The Work of Issey Miyake" held in Tokyo in April 2016.

Currently on display at the ISSEY MIYAKE Italian flagship store is the new "FOUNTAIN – Glass Table," born from the collaboration between Yoshioka and Glas Italia. This glass table, with its fountain-like radiance, was realized through the fusion of the skills of glass artisans from Murano Island, Italy, and industrial product technology.


By transforming flat glass discs into three-dimensional forms with the hands of several glass artisans, each piece takes on a unique expression, casting a sparkle throughout the space like a fountain.

This "FOUNTAIN – Glass Table" can also be viewed at the Glas Italia booth at the "Milan Salone" design festival's Fiera venue.
