ART | Interactive Art That Stylishly Expresses "Dryness"

The Theme: "Awareness of Bodily Dryness" for Women

A web content experience, "FLOWER DRY ALERT," which expresses "humidity" and aims to raise women's awareness of "bodily dryness" in Japan, has been released by the ion drink "Pocari Sweat Ion Water." A physical space to experience this has also been prepared.

Visually Expressing "Humidity" Through Flower Petals

Born from the concept of "Pocari Sweat Ion Water" – to moisturize a dry body daily – "FLOWER DRY ALERT" was created with the aim of increasing awareness of daily dryness among women in their 20s and 30s who suffer from winter dryness.

The dryness is stylishly expressed through flower art supervised by the flower art unit "plantica" and music by musician Shuuta Hasumi.

It cross-references data on location and time accessed via PC or smartphone with current humidity, weather, and wind strength. Based on this, 20 patterns of flower designs, created by photographing a total of 43 types and approximately 3,500 real flower petals, dynamically change to indicate the current bodily humidity.

The fluid unfolding of petals on screen allows for enjoyment of a rich variety of designs. Additionally, 500 million shareable images have been prepared for social media.

A Physical Space to Experience "FLOWER DRY ALERT" in Reality

The courtyard of TENOHA DAIKANYAMA will be temporarily decorated by plantica. The world of the web content can be experienced in reality, primarily in blue.

For the physical installation, a special digital signage system has been implemented, incorporating the latest technology from the web content. In addition to visually enjoying the dryness level through flower art, it has become a more interactive experience, with petals that scatter in response to human movement and display "dryness" values.

Furthermore, digital signage will be installed in the entrance space and VIP rooms of the hair salon "MARIS Hair&Treatment OMOTESANDO." Dryness levels, closely related to the condition of hair, are converted into visual information.

Additionally, iPads are placed on each table within the salon, allowing visitors to experience the "FLOWER DRY ALERT" content while they wait.
