Hitoshi Kuroki's Vision of "Modern Fairy Tales"


Hitoshi Kuroki's solo exhibition "Fragments of my wonderland" will be held from November 16 (Wed) to 29 (Tue), 2016, at DMOARTS in Osaka. This marks the artist's first solo exhibition in Osaka in six years.

New Works Created for the Exhibition


Illustrator Hitoshi Kuroki, known for his work on the cover of "GINZA" magazine and contributions to numerous fashion and culture publications, continues to captivate audiences with his stylish and fashionable portraits.

This exhibition, "Fragments of my wonderland," is his first solo show in Osaka in six years. In addition to works displayed at his October 2016 solo exhibition "THE FANTASTIC HOTEL" in Tokyo, new pieces created specifically for this event will also be exhibited.

The exhibition prominently features Kuroki's "Tear drop" series, inspired by women's tears, and his "Fantastic Human" series, which blends human figures with flora and fauna, offering a comprehensive expression of his unique worldview.

Hitoshi Kuroki
Born in 1978. Graduated from Osaka University of Arts, Department of Design. After assisting Yukinori Dehara, he became a freelance illustrator. He contributes illustrations to fashion and culture magazines such as POPEYE, GINZA, and GQ JAPAN, and has also performed live drawing at Stella McCartney's reception, showcasing his diverse talents.
