An exhibition to experience the future quality and form of light
Kaoru Mende is a lighting designer who has produced lighting for everything from residences to buildings and urban environments. He is also known for the lighting of Tokyo International Forum, Sendai Mediatheque, and Roppongi Hills. “Nightscape 2050 - Future City - Light - People” is an exhibition presenting LPA’s vision for the future, aiming to be a platform for thinking and discussing the future of light.
A platform to contemplate and discuss the beautiful future of light
Under the theme “In 2050, what kind of light will we encounter?”, this exhibition explores the future quality and form of light, and the phenomena that advanced light will bring to cities, spaces, and people, presenting prospects across seven content areas. During the exhibition, various related programs are planned, including talk events with architectural critic Taro Igarashi and architect Yoshiharu Tsukamoto, as well as workshops for children.
