The "DE LA MER OCEANS" Photo Contest

De La Mer, the cosmetic brand, continues to support global ocean conservation efforts in tribute to its founder Dr. Max Huber's passion for the sea. The company has donated $200,000 to Oceana, the world's largest international ocean conservation organization, collaborating on habitat protection and marine conservation activities. As part of this initiative, they are holding the "DE LA MER OCEANS" photo contest in partnership with National Geographic to honor the beauty and bounty of the ocean with awe and reverence.

Grand Prize Winner Invited on a "Photography and Exploration Expedition"

To commemorate World Oceans Day on June 8th, De La Mer is offering a special limited-edition package inspired by the sea, the "Crème de la Mer World Ocean Day Limited Edition" ($48,300 JPY / 100mL), available for a limited time until Saturday, June 30th.

The "DE LA MER OCEANS" photo contest, co-hosted by De La Mer and National Geographic, invites submissions of any photograph that captures the majesty of the sea, whether it be the ocean itself, tranquil coves, marine life, or even a seashell collected on vacation. The submission period is open until Tuesday, July 31st. Participants may submit up to three entries, and anyone is welcome to enter.

Judging will be conducted by National Geographic experts based on creativity (33%), photographic quality (33%), and the expression of the contest theme (34%).

The Grand Prize winner will be invited on a "National Geographic Photography Expedition" led by a National Geographic photographer. This 11-night, 12-day adventure will explore the labyrinthine islands of the Pacific Northwest coast of North America, a region of pristine natural beauty, with its spectacular inlets and rich wildlife. Round-trip airfare for two, accommodation, and meals are included. Additionally, the winner will receive a one-year supply of Crème de la Mer.

Ten finalists will each receive $1,000 worth of De La Mer products and a copy of the globally renowned "Ocean Soul" by Brian Skerry, a celebrated author on the subject of the sea.
