Mick Itaya, an artist who cherishes angels, goddesses, light, wind, and greenery, is holding a small exhibition titled "Pigeons in the Courtyard" at a corner of the THE TASAKI MUSEUM OF ART in Karuizawa until August 25 (Tuesday). The exhibition features over 30 works and products, primarily small pieces such as drawings and paper cuttings.

A Moment of Serenity in Summer Karuizawa

"The quiet, peaceful moments watching pigeons visit the courtyard guide us to the entrance of a peaceful future. The key to the door is made of passion as transparent as a diamond" (Mick Itaya)

The Tasaki Museum of Art was established to permanently preserve and exhibit the works of Hiroshuke Tasaki, a recipient of the Order of Cultural Merit, in Karuizawa, a place he cherished as his second home both before and after the war. The building, designed by architect Hiroshi Hara, received the Architectural Institute of Japan Prize in 1986.

The "Pigeons in the Courtyard" exhibition includes not only the display and sale of artworks but also an art salon in a "relaxed tea party style." Visitors can enjoy tea and create postcard-sized artworks while viewing pieces at the cafe within the Tasaki Museum of Art. Completed works can be taken home framed.
