Focusing on "Angels," Itaya's Core and Most Popular Motif

Mick Itaya: "Gifts from Angels" Exhibition

At the end of 2011, a time steeped in a somber mood, we wish to send soaring our hopes for the future, accompanied by the radiant aura of angels.──From November 25 (Fri) to December 7 (Wed), the "Gifts from Angels" exhibition by visual artist Mick Itaya will be held at Daikanyama's GALLERY SPEAK FOR.

Limited Edition of Compilation Album "White Christmas - Gifts from Angels" Also Available

Angels, a motif that Mick Itaya has consistently favored throughout his career. The image of angels gracefully taking flight with the sparkle of stars embodies Itaya's own aspiration to approach a state of "beauty, love, and peace" that transcends time and space.

This "Gifts from Angels" exhibition focuses on these unique angels. The display will feature a selection of angel paintings from past archives, alongside previously unreleased sketches, collages born from chance, and new works imbued with a live energy, all available for purchase.

Also appealing is the wide array of original merchandise, perfect for Christmas gifts, including hand mirrors, ceramics, candle stands, and cards. A limited edition of the compilation album "White Christmas - Gifts from Angels," set for release at the end of November, will also be sold.

Itaya's angels, which continue to express a mythical world through pop and multifaceted tools such as paintings, music, fashion, and product design, are the embodiment of dreams that envelop us. We should keenly feel the quiet passion of Itaya, the creator.

On the first day of the exhibition, November 25 (Fri), starting at 6:30 PM, a gallery talk with Mick Itaya, featuring model, singer, and actress Masako Koda as moderator, will be held.
