A Stage Where Light and Memory, Music and Body Crystallize into One
The music laboratory "Shinsekai," which has produced numerous masterpieces by "experimenting" with various cultures including theater, film, dance, and fashion centered around music, presents its second collaboration series: "d / a / d," a stage performance by musician Tomomi Oda, dance performer Saori Hara, and throat singer/artist Fuyuki Yamakawa.
Tomomi Oda, a composer, vocalist, and pianist, is active in composition and performance, exploring the presence of sound in various contexts such as words and music, space and music, and visuals and music. In addition to her solo work, she is a keyboardist in "DCPRG" led by Naruyoshi Kikuchi and a composer for the poetry and music collaboration group "VOICE SPACE," demonstrating a wide range of activities.
Dance performer Saori Hara began her activities based in Tokyo and Berlin in 2012. She has since created and presented works in Japan, Germany, Greece, and other countries. Her work explores the beauty and dissonance hidden within everyday movements, and she also produces accompanying dance notations and visual art.
Fuyuki Yamakawa, who works across music, contemporary art, and stage arts, excels in performances that extend his own body into sound and light through technology, appealing to the senses of sight, hearing, and touch. He is also known as a master of "Khoomei," a traditional Russian vocal technique, and has performed in 15 countries beyond Japan.
Light and memory, music and body, spun from the unique worlds of three artists—We hope you will experience everything that unfolds there with your whole being.
