Ryuichi Sakamoto Playing the Piano 2009
Performance at Sapporo Concert Hall Kitara Main Hall on Sunday, April 19

Between performances, the professor grants interviews to local media. Filming for HBC Television.
It’s already been a month since the Ryuichi Sakamoto Playing The Piano 2009 tour kicked off.
After a highly successful concert in Toyama, the professor and his family flew directly to Hokkaido.
Today’s venue is the Sapporo Concert Hall, affectionately known as "Kitara." It’s a truly beautiful hall!
The concert began once again with the full 'out of noise' course, followed by a succession of the professor’s signature melodies, including 'Perspective.'
And that night, 'ambiguous lucidity' was performed for the first time in a while.
As mentioned in the previous concert diary, this Hokuren commercial song, 'ambiguous lucidity,' is featured on the Hokkaido-only single 'nord.'
I was moved to tears the first time I heard this song at a concert, and it truly is a magnificent piece.
Everyone must make the trip to Hokkaido! (The single’s jacket art is also incredibly cool.)
Furthermore, contemplating why it's a Hokkaido-only release allows us to reaffirm the 'depth' of the professor’s work.
After the Sapporo performance, the professor seemed very pleased, remarking, "Finally hit my personal best in Sapporo~" (via skmt voice).
The live recording is definitely worth checking out!
