Dom Pérignon, with its legacy stretching back to the 17th century and a spirit of relentless innovation, unveiled its latest global theme, "Dancing Spies," inspired by the legendary dancer Mata Hari. The show, directed by the internationally acclaimed Amon Miyamoto, was held on April 10th at The Palace Hotel Tokyo and on April 15th at The Ritz-Carlton Osaka.
"Dom Pérignon Rosé Vintage 2003 'Dancing Spies'"
This marked Miyamoto's first time directing a show in a non-stage setting, following his Tony Award-nominated production of 'Pacific Overtures' on Broadway in New York. Dancers, including Jonte' Morning, provocatively and alluringly brought to life the world of Mata Hari—a dancer and a spy who lived a life of passion during the turbulent late 19th and early 20th centuries.
The show utilized cutting-edge "360° Hologram Screen" technology to create a fantastical atmosphere. A constellation of talents, including Hiro Tsukui, a world-renowned hairstylist active in Japan and France, and Kenji Sato, a makeup artist and body painter who has worked with Hollywood stars, collaborated to create this exclusive, "limited to two nights only" spectacle.
The venues in Tokyo and Osaka welcomed approximately 330 guests in total, including actress Aya Sugimoto, photographer and film director Mika Ninagawa, and designer Keita Maruyama. They were captivated by the mysterious and beautiful show, which resonated with the theme of Dom Pérignon Rosé.
The show is also currently available to view on YouTube. We invite you to glimpse the alluring world of Mata Hari, with her enigmatic radiance, and the captivating allure of Dom Pérignon Rosé.
