A Week of Nordic Ambiance

Floral artist Nicolai Bergmann, known for his unique style that blends Nordic sensibilities with meticulous Japanese aesthetics, and his wife Amanda Bergmann, who produces cafes and lifestyle shops, present "DANISH ART & CULTURE WEEK Vol. 2" (commonly known as "DAC"), now in its second iteration.

This year features the first solo exhibition in Japan by Christina Malbek, an innovative landscape artist from Denmark. Additionally, chefs from "BROR," a restaurant currently gaining attention in Copenhagen, will visit Japan for the first time to host a special dinner in collaboration with Nicolai Bergmann's floral designs.

Who are the Guests Reflecting Contemporary Denmark?

Born in Denmark in 1971, Christina Malbek constructs her imagery based on her own photographs, depicting the symbiosis of nature, people, and architecture with fluorescent and translucent colors. As a central artist in the modern art community, she is active primarily in Europe. Her first exhibition in Japan will showcase over 10 works, all of which will be available for purchase.

Furthermore, on Thursday, April 3rd, and Friday, April 4th, Victor Wågman and Sam Nutter, the owner-chefs of the popular Danish restaurant "BROR," will visit Japan. They will present a special six-course Nordic-style dinner, including BROR's signature dishes, uniquely conceived for this event.

These chefs are highly skilled, having trained for many years at "NOMA" in Copenhagen, a restaurant that has been ranked number one in "The World's 50 Best Restaurants" for the past three consecutive years. While maintaining the style and philosophy of "NOMA," their cuisine promises to be both innovative and exciting.
