Shibuya Becomes a Canvas for Art
Shibukaru Festival began in 2011. This year, marking the 40th anniversary of Shibuya Parco, the festival's appeal has been amplified. With 'support' as its theme, over 150 creators are participating to discover emerging talent. The event boasts over 100 activities and more than 40 venues, transforming Shibuya into a crucible that further ignites people's senses.
At the main venue, Parco Museum, seven leading figures from the cultural scene have curated and directed the works of young female creators exhibiting for the first time at Shibukaru Festival, presenting them in individual booths. Daily talk events and workshops will be held on a special stage within the venue, alongside the sale of rare items such as one-of-a-kind T-shirts by participating creators.
Furthermore, a stage will appear in the Koen Dori Plaza again this year. A packed program of music live performances, dance, fashion shoots, and talks will be presented free of charge, making it unmissable. In addition, pop-up shops in Logos Gallery and within the store buildings will showcase the creativity of female creators across various genres.
Scattered throughout Shibuya, a major hub of Japanese pop culture, you'll find works that are whimsical, cute, or possess a sharp, unique edge. We encourage you to witness this moment when the entire city becomes a stage for art, including the live performances and events.
