Second Solar Power CM Featuring Ryuichi Sakamoto Begins Airing



XSOL, known as a specialist in solar power,following last yearhas produced a new commercial starring Ryuichi Sakamoto. It began airing on television on July 15 (Monday, holiday), and special content will also be available on the XSOL website starting July 12 (Friday).

The Keyword: "Creating Tomorrow's Norm, Today"



Last summer,Ryuichi Sakamoto, who has consistently advocated for the promotion of renewable energy with the slogan "If it doesn't exist, let's create it," appeared as the "face of solar power"for XSOL's commercial. This summer, the second installment, themed "Power Innovation," has been completed. Mr. Sakamoto stars in it once again.

The commercial's keyword is "Creating Tomorrow's Norm, Today." At the beginning, innovators like Edison, Alexander Graham Bell who invented the telephone, and Henry Ford who developed the automobile appear. Juxtaposing solar power with technologies that are "now commonplace," Mr. Sakamoto delivers the message, "We will change the future of energy with solar power."

The TV commercials come in 15, 30, and 60-second versions, all featuring an original song written by Ryuichi Sakamoto. On the XSOL website, where special content is available, this song can be downloaded for free for a limited time, along with making-of footage for the commercial and the song. Furthermore, it will be featured in web advertising, newspapers, and magazines, so we are likely to see it more often from now on.
