Playing with Someone Else's Life──An Audacious and Luxurious Theatrical Game
Hideki Noda, who has consistently pushed the boundaries as a playwright, set himself the next challenge: "to create a new work based on a real person living in the world today."
Akihiro Miwa, who captivated intellectuals like Yukio Mishima as a chanson singer and mesmerized audiences with his gender-defying beauty and unparalleled expressiveness as a stage actor in works such as "The Fur Marie" and "The Black Lizard." Hideki Noda treats this powerful icon purely as a "motif," weaving it into an unpredictable original story.
The lead role is played by Rie Miyazawa. Also joining NODA・MAP for the first time are Eita, Mao Inoue, Keisuke Koide, Kenji Urai, Sayaka Aoki, along with the indispensable members of Noda's productions, Narushi Ikeda and Shinta Furuta. Hideki Noda himself will also appear as an actor.

"MIWA? Impossible? But it is possible. I thought about who is the most interesting person alive on Earth right now. The answer was MIWA. Of course, after hearing Miwa's stories, I intend to write a completely fictitious 'Akihiro Miwa Story.' To play with the life of another living person. It is audacious. But it is luxurious. It is magnificent. Because it is MIWA's life story," commented Hideki Noda.
Akihiro Miwa, the inspiration for this work, remarked, "God Zeus Noda is up to his mischief again, and it seems he will create another life for me, Akihiro Miwa. Well, who knows what will come of it."
What will this stellar cast, seemingly drawn together by fate, portray and what kind of sessions will unfold within the magnetic field of "MIWA"? Expectations are running high.
