Three Days of Deepened Learning Under Diverse Lecturers

Yama no Schule is a mountain school held annually in summer in the Yokozawa district at the foot of Mt. Nasu, in Nasu Kogen, Tochigi Prefecture. This year marks its sixth year.

Every year, prominent figures from various fields are invited as lecturers to present a diverse program of symposiums, lectures, and workshops. Participants learn about the art and culture that people have created over time, while listening to the sounds of nature in the forest. It is a summer of three days for interdisciplinary dialogue and deepened learning across philosophy, economics, biology, literature, design, and architecture.

This year's theme is, "Where do we come from, and where are we going?" under the fruit of life.
Following last year's concept of "life capital" by Lee O-Young, "Yama no Schule 2013" will delve into the life that fundamentally supports us, building upon the achievements of the past five years.

During the event, the "Yokozawa Marche," featuring popular shops from within and outside Tochigi Prefecture, and concerts will also be held concurrently.

"Yama no Schule 2013" aims to be a place where many people, transcending professions and borders, can gather and individually reflect on and deepen their understanding of what is important for the future. It promises to be an excellent opportunity for profound self-dialogue.
